I've been working in Machine Learning since 2013. First in academia, and then in the industry since 2017.

FAQ

How do I pronounce your name?

Don't feel like you have to get it right! I won't get offended.

The name has 2 syllables: "Jo" and "ão". The first is pronounced a bit like "Ju" in "Jupiter" (not like "Joe"), the second is quite tricky for a non-Portuguese speaker, "ow" is the closest I can describe it.

For all the IPA fans, this is how you do it: /ʒuˈaʊn/ . Not that I know IPA, but I've copy/pasted it into an online reader, and it did a pretty decent job.
